Allowing New to the Scene to Use Your Original Music

The Talent
We are now asking for your help in nurturing the next wave of local talent.
Planning
Our low-cost and low-budget showcases are vital for new musicians who are new to the scene and are still learning to write their own material. These artists are sometimes heavily reliant on performing cover songs.
Barriers
The single greatest barrier to keeping these shows accessible is the high cost of Performer Rights Organization (PRO) fees associated with playing those covers.
The Question
We humbly ask our experienced alumni to consider granting our current beginner musicians a temporary, limited opportunity to play a selection of your music royalty-free. This permission would be specifically for performances at our local, non-profit shows.
Value
This gesture is an invaluable gift that will allow the next generation to gain essential public experience. It would also help prevent our developmental program from incurring unsustainable costs. And in the end it would truly let you pay forward the opportunity you may have had once had.
